Small Animal Surgery Services:
Every surgical patient has a pre-operative examination performed prior to surgery. Pre-anesthetic blood testing is important to reduce risks associated with anesthesia and will be discussed with you prior to surgery. Our doctors are equipped to perform a variety of surgical procedures. These include elective procedures such as spays and neuters as well as more advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. During surgery your pet will be continually monitored by our staff using up to date monitoring equipment. We recommend that all our patients receive an intravenous catheter and fluids during surgery. We also provide external heat support to maintain body temperature. Pain management is very important to us, and we strive to make sure that our patients are as comfortable as possible before, during, and after a procedure.
While your pet is in our hospital, we provide daily meals, monitoring, and safety. Our trained staff will communicate directly with you about your pet's progress. We encourage you to come see your pet during our visiting hours. We are not a 24 hour hospital but work closely with a local emergency clinic to provide after hours care to our critically ill patients.
